Develop a 175-word outline for the Multiculturalism in the News assignment
The thesis must be adequately supported by the content in the final paper

Here are the 2 Annotated Bibliography resources that I have obtained through peer-reviewed journals which relate to the assignment:

Cleland, J., Anderson, C., Aldridge-Deacon, J., (2017). Islamophobia, War, and Non-Muslims as Victims: An Analysis of Online Discourse on an English Defence League Message Board, Ethnic and Racial Studies, Accessed from www.tandfonline.com Accessed on 15th
In this examination, the analysts analyzed 845 posts crosswise over 78 strings on an English Defense Association messages gathered from September – October 2013. In these messages, the interest is to monitor the trend that online hate against the Muslims has been taking. This connects with the research done by Abbas that shows how much media has been used to increase adverse reactions against the Muslims. Hence, through this study by Cleland, Anderson, and Aldridge-Deacon the hypothesis in this study that media has increased hate against Muslims is confirmed. Moreover, this research shows that from the messages studied, Muslims are looked at as innocent people who are facing unwarranted attacks by the Western World. What emerges clearly in this study unlike the rest is that terror attacks are not done by Muslims alone. Hence, the conclusion that the hate against Muslims is unwarranted.
Disha, I., Cavendish., J., C. & King D., R., (2011). Historical Events and Spaces of Hate: Hate Crimes against Arabs and Muslims in Post-9/11 America, Social Problems, University of California Press on behalf of the Society for the Study of Social Problems. Vol. 58, No. 1, pp. 21-46, www.jstor.org Accessed from: 169.226.1.110 Accessed on 15th October 2017
This study by Disha, Cavendish, and King are specific to the United States and are aimed at investigating the different levels of hate displayed against the Arab and Muslims in the U.S.. The study begins by looking at the reactions towards Muslims and Arabs before September 11, 2001, and how the same society reacts towards them after that same date. This study is very resourceful to the study because it goes ahead and shows how negative reactions towards Muslims and Arabs as increased over the recent years. Moreover, it examines a lot of factors that made this group not-liked during the times before 9/11 and the times after 9/11. One thing that the research study indicates is that there has been an increased level of hate towards Muslims and Arabs and in fact, there are hate crimes that are constantly emerging in the regions where these groups are living. Through this study, it is evident that a lot of negative reactions towards the Muslims and the Arabs has increased.

This is my Thesis Statement:
The purpose of this paper is to shed light on a rising issue that individuals of Muslim descent are facing on a routinely basis with particular emphasis on Muslim women. It is important that individuals become more aware of social acceptance and social awareness as it has a heavy impact within today’s society. It is important that individuals work together to fight against the many barriers that have already been formed within the United States amongst its citizens. Although there are efforts being made to protect every citizen and their rights there are also barriers that still enable the opposing sides to create a difficult life for those of different ethnicities in particular Muslim women. From schools, communities, and forms of transits we constantly see targeting efforts towards the Muslim communities and women.
