and a simple roller support at point F. Two external forces are applied, one at point B
and the other at point C, as shown in Figure QB14

(a) Draw a free body diagram of the frame showing all external loads I
and supporting forces.
(b) Calculate the magnitudes of the supporting forces at A and F.e
(c) Use the method of joints to determine the magnitude of the forcesI
in each of the following members of the frame: AB; AC; BC; BD; CD; CE. I
State whether each member is in tension or compression. I
